In the Country

As you can probably tell I'm getting quite fascinated with using Polyvore as I think it is a brilliant way to show trend moodboards. Any A/W season would not be complete without the 'Country' look. Tweeds, Khaki and Berry scream 'Autumnal' but add a belt to your coat then you really have embraced the 2012 trend. Think Burberry A/W 12 to get the perfect girly edge on such a masculine area.  Whilst I'm Currently looking at the rain out of my window I'm definitely in the mood to wear this..if only I had the Burberry Fox Handle umbrella to complete my look!

Cobalt

Now A/W has hit the stores I aim to blog about a new trend each week. This week I have created a Polyvore set on the trend 'Cobalt'. With Designers such as Dkny, Lanvin and Mulberry adopting Cobalt as their primary colour its this seasons must have. From Matt to Metallic make sure you have a statement cobalt piece this Autumn.

If you can not afford to splash out on expensive pieces a simple way to keep on trend is to paint your nails cobalt. From O.P.I to Barry M there a plenty of cheap alternatives out there to brighten any outfit up!

Mulberry A/W Print Campaign

Mulberry's new print A/W campaigns are photographed by the legendary Tim Walker. Starring in the campaign is American model Lindsey Wixson alongside Mulberry's new monster from Where The Wild Things Are. Oh how Mulberry's campaigns captivate their audience every season. These campaigns are full of wit and humour and make me want to go into the woods to find my own furry creature! My lust for a Mulberry continues...

Couture Week A/W 12 - Versace

Last night was the start of couture fashion week. First to show was Versace who have not shown couture since 2004. (Ok I didn’t actually mean for that to rhyme!).
After last seasons structured studded pieces this time it went a whole lot softer. With lilacs, gold’s and pinks it was more feminine and sexy with the odd kick from bright green. The dresses were corseted with elements of chainmail which is the norm for Versace but this time it was much more updated with flowing chiffon and the flashes of leg. Also the gladiator elements from the men's show has been incorporated within the sandals and waist belts. The whole collection excelled and definitely brought the feminine power which Versace excel at.
usually borderline trashy for me but this collection seems to prove me wrong. I think the muted pastel colour palette and the flowing chiffon make it seem a whole lot more 'ladylike' than it should suggest. Maybe it's also because the chainmail, tacky scarf print is less easy to see!
